Description
Magnesium anodes are mainly used as sacrificial anodes in the field of cathodic protection, they protect other metal structures from electrochemical corrosion by corroding preferentially themselves. It's an electrochemical or sacrificial corrosion protection device connected to steel structures. They are usually used in onshore pipelines, underground storage tanks , the external bottom of above-ground storage tanks, etc.

Corrosion protection of underground metal facilities
-Pipeline system: oil/gas pipelines, urban water supply and drainage pipelines, etc., especially suitable for sections with high resistivity soil (dry, rocky areas) or crossing special terrain (rivers, railways)
-Tank protection: crude oil tank bottom plate, chemical tank inner wall.
-Infrastructure: bridge pile foundation, dock steel pile, transmission tower foundation and other soil-contacted steel structures
-Chemical pipelines, boilers, condensers and other equipment, provide stable protection in strong acid/alkali media
Corrosion protection of water environment
-Freshwater system: reservoir gates, freshwater pipes, heat exchanger liners, suitable for remote areas without power supply 48.
-Marine engineering: offshore platform pile legs, tidal range areas of ship hulls, but it should be noted that the efficiency is low and the life is short in seawater environment. It is recommended to use aluminum-zinc alloy anodes here.
